The HREIT delegation made a joint unannounced visit to Sincan T Type Closed Penal Institution on 6-7 November 2023 with the lawyers of Ankara No. 1 Bar Association, within the scope of its duty as a national prevention mechanism.

During the visit, firstly, the information was obtained from the authorities. Afterwards, the treatment and accommodation conditions of those detained during the visit were examined in the context of national and international standards.

A report containing the findings, observations and recommendations regarding the examinations carried out during the visit will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
