The Delegation of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye headed by the Board Member Atty. Selami Açan conducted an unannounced visit to Bursa Removal Center on February 10-11, 2026, as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate.
During the visit, information was first obtained from the center's officials, and observations and examinations were made in the context of national and international standards by holding meetings with foreigners and staff.
As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations regarding the examinations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public. As part of the visit, our Board member paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Bursa, Erol Ayyıldız.
