The Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye delegation chaired by board member atty. Fatma Çınar made an unannounced visit to the Ordu Ünye Sabancı Children's Homes Sites Directorate on 10 February, 2026 within the scope of the national preventive mechanism mandate.
During the visit, first a meeting was held with the institution officials. Then, observations and examinations were made in line with interviews held with those under protection and care and the staff on duty . Within the scope of the visit, the treatment and accommodation conditions for those staying in the institution were examined in the context of national and international standards.
As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations regarding the examinations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
