The delegation consisting of Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç, Board Member Ünal Sade, Expert Saadet Sinoplu Karaca and Assistant Expert Ela Çolak participated in the international conference on "The Effectiveness of Ombudsman within the Institutional Work and Their Role in Promoting Respect for Human Rights" organized by the Ombudsman's Office of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Manama on 18-19 October 2023.

Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç delivered a speech at the first session of the conference on "The Role of Ombudsman Offices in Promoting Human Rights within the Criminal Justice System". In his speech, Prof. Dr. Kılıç touched upon the role of national human rights institutions in the development of human rights in the criminal justice system and emphasized that national human rights institutions serve as a bridge for the incorporation of international standards into national legislation. Prof. Dr. Kılıç stated that such institutional structures can make significant contributions to the effectiveness of the human rights perspective in the criminal justice system and to the implementation of the guarantees for the protection of human rights.
