HREIT Delegation conducted a follow-up visit to follow-up visit to Ankara Esenboğa Airport Inadmissable Passengers Waiting Lounge as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate on 16.12.2022

During the visit, information was first obtained from Murat Soylu, civil administrator and deputy governor. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing with detainees were examined in the context of national and international standards.

As a result of the visit and interviews a report containing in the findings and recommendations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public
