Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (HREIT), main mission of which is to protect and promote human rights, working to guarantee individuals’ right to equal treatment, and combatting torture and ill-treatment, provides internship opportunities to university students to allow them to gain practical experience in the field of human rights within the framework of its institutional vision. The goal of the internship program is to allow interns to gain experience on the following areas:

• Awareness-raising activities on national and international levels

Within the scope of Combatting Discrimination and Equality:

• Reporting
• Decision drafting processes regarding prohibition of discrimination
• Symposium and workshops

Within the scope of Prevention of Torture and Ill-Treatment:

• Reporting works
• Decision drafting processes regarding prevention of torture and ill-treatment

Within the scope of Preliminary Examination:

• Receiving applications and directing them to relevant units

Within the scope of International Relations:

• Effective dialog with international stakeholders
• Contribution to international reporting works
• Periodical International Monitoring Activities
