The HREIT Delegation conducted an unannounced follow-up visit to Erzurum Provincial Police Department, Gölbaşı Şehit Zekai Aktaş Police Station Headquarters and Gürcükapı Şehit Abdulkadir Güngör Police Headquarters custody centers as part of its National Preventive Mechanism mandate March 6, 2024. During the visit, information was first obtained from the authority of the institution. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are deprived of their liberties and the personnel in charge. As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations regarding the examinations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
