ENNHRI Asylum and Migration Working Group meeting was held on 23-24 May 2023 in Athens, Greece. A representative from our institution attended the meeting.

On the first day of the meeting, the work carried out by the working group members in the field of asylum and migration was discussed. Information was provided on the current developments in EU legislation and regional regulations. There was an exchange of ideas regarding the potential areas of focus for the working group in the future.

On the second day of the meeting, the group members were provided with training on the human rights implications of AI and new technologies in the context of asylum and migration. Discussions were held regarding the roles that NHRIs would undertake in addressing the potential impacts of AI and new technologies on human rights.
