The HREIT delegation conducted an unannounced visit to Dalaman Airport Transit Zone as part of its National Preventive Mechanism mandate.

During the visit, information was first obtained from the authority in charge of the zone. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing with the personnel. As part of the visit, treatment and accomodation conditions of the detainees were examined in the context of national and international standarts.

As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and reccomendations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and public.
