Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye Board Member Selma Öztürk Pınar participated in the Annual Seminar of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) of the Council of Europe held between 15-16 October 2026 in Strasbourg.
On the first day of the seminar, which addressed the topics of hate speech and discrimination within political and public discourse, Board Member Selma Öztürk Pınar participated in working groups focused on anti-Muslim racism and xenophobia and shared her assessments.
On the second day of the seminar, issues regarding communication and public interactions which equality institutions can develop as a strategy against rhetorics with hate and discrimination.
