Second and Third Meetings on the Thematic Report Studies on Children’s Right to Access to Justice

The thematic report studies on the right of children to access justice, initiated by our Institution in order to identify the problems that children have experienced in accessing justice and to offer solutions, continue.

In this context, institutions and organizations related to the field such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of National Education, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and UNICEF have been identified as stakeholders, and two separate online meetings were held today with the representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Family and Social Services in order to exchange opinions.

At the meeting held with the representatives of the Ministry of Health, opinions were exchanged on Child Monitoring Centers, detection of neglect and abuse in children, and health measures. Associate Professor Nesibe Kurt Konca, Expert on Human Rights and Equality Merve Sisli, Assistant Expert on Human Rights and Equality İhsan Deniz Ay and Expert on Social Service Şeyma Gündür has attended the meeting on behalf of our Institution.

At the meeting held with the representatives of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, views were exchanged on institutional care services, detection of neglect and abuse of children, juvenile pushed to crime, preventive measures and shelter and care measures. Associate Professor Nesibe Kurt Konca, Experts on Human Rights and Equality Gizem Özdemir and Merve Sisli and Expert on Social Service Şeyma Gündür has attended the meeting on behalf of our Institution.
