The HREIT Delegation, headed by the Board Member Ömer Çelen conducted an unannounced follow-up visit to Aydın Kuşadası Coast Guard Station Command  as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate on 15 April, 2026.
During the visit, information was first obtained from the authority of the center. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are deprived of their liberties and the personnel in charge. As part of the visit, treatment and accommodation conditions of detainees were examined in the context of national and international standards.
As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
