On May 8, 2025, our Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç and his accompanying delegation conducted an announced visit to Bingöl Open Penitentiary Institution part of its national preventive mechanism duties.
Initially, information was obtained from the institution's officials. Subsequently, the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are deprived of their liberties and the personel in charge. As part of the visit, treatment and accommodation conditions of detainees were examined in the context of national and international standards.
A report containing findings and recommendations based on the observations made during the visit will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
