On April 1, 2026, in Geneva, Deputy President of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (HREIT), Muhammet Ecevit Carti, together with his delegation, attended the thematic meeting entitled “The Role of National Human Rights Institutions in Promoting and Protecting Human Rights in the Digital Space”, held on the second day of the General Assembly of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).

The meeting, moderated by GANHRI President Amina Bouayach, was also joined by United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk.

During the session, information was shared regarding HREIT’s activities in the field of digital rights and the Institution’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the protection and promotion of human rights in the digital era.
