The Delegation of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye headed by the Board Member Atty. Erol Gökdöl conducted an unannounced visit to Kahramanmaraş Şehit Hasan Duyğal Nursing Home, Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center on 13 August 2026 as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate.

During the visit, information was first obtained from the authority of the institution. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are staying in the institution an the personnel in charge.

Within the framework of the visit, the Board Member paid courtesy visit to Mükerrem Ünlüer, Governor of Kahramanmaraş.

As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
