The HREIT delegation conducted an unannounced follow-up visit to Ankara Dr. Ahmet Yurtaslan Oncology Training and Research Hospital Psychiatry Service and Community Mental Health Center as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate on 23 December 2022.

The visit started by getting information from the authorities of the Hospital. Afterwards, the delegation has made observations and examinations by interviewing the people staying in the Hospital and with the personel in charge with the administrative staff of the Hospital. Within the scope of the visit, the treatment and accommodation conditions of those staying in the Hospital were examined in the context of national and international standards. The recommendations in the previous visit report were followed up. The visit ended with the last meeting with the administration.

As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations regarding the examinations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
