Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (HREIT) representatives participated to the "Public Health and Social Development" workshop held with the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

The workshop was held with the goals of updating the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan (İDUSEP 2024-2030) in line with the entry into force of the Climate Law No. 7552, the progress made in the Global Adaptation Target (GAT) process under the Paris Agreement, the decisions of the Conference of Parties (COP) to the Framework Convention on Climate Change, international reporting obligations, National Contribution Statement (NDC 3.0) targets, and national policy priorities.

Within the scope of the workshop, institutional opinions and evaluations on İDUSEP and activities conducted by HREIT in the field of climate change and human rights were shared with participants. Moreover, HREIT emphasized that it had the institutional capacity to make significant contributions to preparation, application, and monitoring processes of İDUSEP.
