The HREIT Delegation, headed by the Board Member Atty. Selma Öztürk Pınar conducted an unannounced follow-up visit to Ankara Children’s Education House as part of its national preventive mechanism mandate on 11 June, 2026.

During the visit, information was first obtained from the authority of the center. Afterwards the delegation made observations and examinations by interviewing those who are deprived of their liberties and the personnel in charge.

As part of the visit, treatment and accommodation conditions of detainees were examined in the context of national and international standards.

As a result of the visit and interviews, a report containing the findings and recommendations will be prepared and shared with the relevant institutions and the public.
